Saints Bot To Hold First Ever “Saints Bot-a-Thon” For Team Members

Saints Bot is excited to announce that we will be hosting our first ever Saints-Bot-a-thon event, starting on Saturday December 19th and ending on Sunday December 20th, 2020!

Saints Bot-a-Thon

But what exactly is the Saints-Bot-a-thon? The Saints-Bot-a-thon is a 24-hour “hackathon”-style challenge event, where randomized teams of students will be tasked with coming up with and presenting a creative solution to a given robotics-themed problem that has been brainstormed by our exceptional Saints Bot mentors! This problem will include an aspect of each of the divisions of the Saints Bot team: mechanical, electrical, programming, business, scouting, safety, and media. Through this challenge, students will have an opportunity to apply skills learned during our pre-season Virtual Training Workshops, as well as bond and connect with other team members more than just seeing a face or an icon on a screen! In addition to this main challenge, there will be presentations from experienced mentors, fun activities to break up work periods, and prizes to be won overall!

The Saints-Bot-a-thon Registration Form is due on Thursday December 10th, 2020. After this date, registration will close and we will be releasing a full schedule and teams list for both students and mentors participating in the event.

Student team members can find the registration form in the “Announcements” channel on Microsoft Teams, and mentor team members can find the volunteer form in the “Mentors” channel. Team members can log into their Saints Bot accounts here.

Any questions, comments, or concerns about this event, can be forwarded to our Saints Bot Team Manager, Finley Booth, at fbooth@saintsbot.org. You may also contact the team using our contact form here.
