About Saints Bot #4688

This is our sixth year as a robotics team at St. Anne Catholic High School and we are happy to boast a team of 30+ students interested in competing at the FIRST Robotics Competitions (FRC) this year. These FRC events will be held between February and April 2021, pending confirmation from FIRST HQ once the COVID-19 situation has been assessed closer to competition season. FIRST Robotics’ global vision is designed to help students recognize and apply problem-solving skills in the real world. FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) is a non-profit organization that uses STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) to help build confidence, create friendships, and gain valuable knowledge that lasts a lifetime. Our mentors are committed to their mission of inspiring young people to become our world’s future leaders. As an extracurricular activity our goals include:

1. Inspiring innovation and a well-rounded environment to promote self-confidence,
   communication, organization, and leadership skills;
2. Educating students in the career fields of Business, Engineering, Technology,
   Mathematics and Computer Programming;
3. Establishing a mentorship program that will enhance parental involvement in our school;
4. Creating a program that will assist in building a lasting relationship within our school and community; and
5. Achieving sustained student interest in related technology, math, business and science programs.

How Do Sponsorships Help The Team?

Valued sponsorship support from last year helped Saints Bot #4688 achieve the following:

● REGISTRATION in the FIRST RISE: INFINITE RECHARGE Competitions at the University of Windsor and Western University.
● INCREASED the diversity of students in our program, sustained a steady 40 plus student involvement with 46% female participation.
● INCREASED our adult mentor volunteers to 25.

We would appreciate your support in helping us to strengthen our Robotics program with involvement in FIRST and continuing to inspire our students to learn and expand on important skills beyond the high school curriculum. These students are our future employees and leaders.
